Firstborn Creatives Bristol Part-time Voluntary

Would you be willing to take part in a local media production? Are you interested in how history can be used in video, radio, multi media or theatre production? We are calling for volunteers to work with us on our project... Bristol Bus Boycott. The Bristol Bus Boycott took place in 1963 rebelling against the Bristol Omnibus Company for refusing to employ Black and Asian bus staff. This resulted in a triumph for racial equality. Led by Paul Stephenson OBE, the boycott lasted four months and was a significant contribution to the 1965 Race Relations Act. Can you help us produce a multi-media production on this event?!

You could be involved in a variety of different tasks, such as:
• Cataloguing/archiving…
• Oral history training…
• Film making training…
• Learning interviewing techniques…
• Graphic designing…
•Discovering al about stage management in technical theatre…
•Helping to producing an exhibition…

An amazing opportunity to take part in a professional media production, discover the skills involved! If this sounds like anything you would like to be involved in, please contract us for more information. - Firstborn Creatives. christine@firstborn-creatives.co.uk
