Music producer Clipz, takes time out to talk to us about getting into the music business, starting a music project and what pitfalls to look out for.

Clipz top tips:

  • Think of a good name for a track, that can be a good place to start. There are no hard and fast rules to starting apart from look out for what sparks your creativity.
  • Try to be original, imitating is useful for learning but then try to find your own sound.
  • If working with live artists/musicians find the best talent you can.
  • Don't get too involved in the hype.
  • Take your time, play the long game. Get it right.
  • Go to college. If you can get free education, use it!
